For 15 years, she has been passionate about the management of organic waste. She has raised earthworms capable of handling 10 tonnes of organic matter per year and planned several institutional and industrial composting sites. She has also worked with insects at Espace pour la vie. She is an associate professor at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique du Québec and director of the Eau Terre Environnement Center and was previously head of scientific projects at the David Suzuki Foundation.
