At Metabolic HQ in Amsterdam, Emmy is responsible for business development within and outside Metabolic: capacity building and key account management within the Metabolic ecosystem, as well as strategically forging international alliances with partners and clients who seek advice and who are equally committed to drive systems change. Personable, a knack for languages, and a cycling enthusiasm-turned-lifestyle are a few of Emmy’s traits.</p><p>Previously, Emmy was business developer at a Dutch architecture firm, building consortia and promoting design excellence in large real estate and infrastructure developments. For more than ten years Emmy was part of the Dutch public service; enhancing economic relations and multilateral trade by positioning Dutch expertise related to global challenges. During her diplomatic posting in Toronto, Canada, Emmy fostered public-private partnerships and knowledge sharing on the intersection of city planning, climate change, resilience, and design excellence. These connections informed major transformation projects and shaped networks of Dutch and North-American experts.
