There, as Director of Policy, Planning & Outreach in the Solid Waste Management Services Division, Annette Synowiec leads a number of cross-cutting integrated waste system portfolios - including extended producer responsibility transition that will financially and operationally hand over the City’s residential recycling program to producers; stakeholder and community outreach which works to build meaningful relationships, value community engagement and seek partnerships to achieve long-term sustainability; advancement of circular economy & innovation in service delivery; future-planning solid waste programs/policies including intergovernmental advocacy and supporting environmental and health and safety compliance in the City’s Solid Waste Division.</p><p>Annette loves working in the public service and has greatly enjoyed her experiences in all aspects of municipal solid waste management.
