He is a recognized specialist in sustainable development, with over 15 years of experience in the field. Before being elected to parliament, he served as National Director of The Climate Reality Project Canada, an organization founded by Nobel Laureate Al Gore. He also co-founded the Concordia Empowerment Education Development Program based in Uganda, East Africa. For his work, he has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the YMCA Peace Medal and the Forces Avenir Award for Peace Justice and Humanitarian Aid. Peter brings a wealth of experience and perspective to the Solving the Plastics Challenge in One Generation session.</p></div>
