<div class="ExternalClassE0A959B31DB9499E8E5B4848E3ED3147"><p>Serving multiple consecutive terms as a councillor on the Township of Langley municipal council, he is also an elected member of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities national board of directors and a member of the national standing committee on the environment and sustainable development. He also serves as a director on the Metro Vancouver Regional Board. </p> <p> Through his work at FCM, Long was appointed to the NZWC management board and he sits on the Metro Vancouver Zero Waste committee. He is an active member of his home town community of Aldergrove, BC where he resides with wife Karen and together they have operated various restaurants throughout the Lower Mainland over the past 20 years. </p></div>
